1st day of ISAK Level 1 certification:
The 1 st out of the 3 days of each course is entirely theoretical and is taught through a webinar software platform. This could be of critical importance for individuals that are travelling from far away. Lectures are consisted of “The importance of being certified”, “The History of Kinanthropometry”, “Why is Anthropometry important in the scientific field”, “Basic anatomy of the human body” as well as “Using and calibrating my anthropometric tools”.
2nd day of ISAK Level 1 certification:
The 2 nd day of the course is blended with both theory and practical applications. Emphasis is given in basic anatomy that will be important for delivering measurements, using appropriately relative equipment, as well as performing the most accurate and precise techniques. All participants will be required to demonstrate “a hands on” behavior during this second day of the course. By the end of this second day all participants may feel already pretty confident with their new skillset.
3rd day of ISAK Level 1 certification:
The 3 rd day of the course is also a combination of both theory and practical applications. Students will be trained as to how to calculate their personal technical error (TEM), as well as be aware of the parameters that may affect someone’s measurements. Participants will then be instructed to carry on practicing their new techniques, preparing for the final practical examination. In the last lap of the course, all participants will have to undergo a Practical Examination, performed on a range of different human bodies, and must deliver values within an acceptable range compared to the measurements of the examiner. Marks are announced, photos are taken, and woop-woop congrats to everyone!
